David Brooks joined Teitelbaum & Baskin in February 2012. Prior to joining the firm, he was an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department, where he represented the five New York City pension funds in court at both the trial and appellate level. David also counseled the funds in areas from employee benefits to securities litigation.
While in law school, David studied alternative dispute resolution and attended an intensive program on international mediation at the Central European University in Budapest as well as a program on arbitration given in conjunction with the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. Prior to law school, David worked in the media and marketing industries.
David received his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2006, where he was awarded a Dean's Merit Scholarship. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Radio Television Film.
David is admitted in the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division - First Department and the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
